Camp Seale Harris has been part of my summer for more than 10 years and I hope many more. Going to camp and being surrounded by others who go through the same things I do on a daily basis gives me a comforting feeling. It reassures me that I am not the only one who goes through some of the struggles alone as a diabetic. The friends I have made over the past years at camp have become more of a family than the people I have gone to school with for years. I feel like since we have something so big in common, they understand me better.  I couldn’t imagine my life without them. We all encourage and support each other throughout the year. When we reunite at camp over the summer, it’s like we saw each other the day before.

Camp Seale Harris has taught me a lot about myself and makes me strive to be a better diabetic. It’s such an awesome experience, and I think everyone should be able to experience it.
