SDES-Camp Seale Harris recently honored Libby Wood Greene with the 2017 VIP – Volunteer in Philanthropy Award. Presented at the 2017 National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon in Birmingham, Libby joined outstanding people and organizations recognized for helping make Birmingham a great community. Determined that no child would ever miss experiencing the diabetes education, support, and community provided by SDES-Camp Seale Harris, Libby helped launch Birmingham’s Diabetes Walk for Camp Seale Harris in 2014. The Greene family’s “Will’s Warriors Walk Team” raises awareness of Type 1 Diabetes and Camp Seale Harris sponsorships for kids in need. An inspiration to others, Libby’s selfless “behind the scenes” efforts have sponsored over 60 children in need. Thank you Libby for making a difference!
