Joining us for the first time this year, Camden said “I had the best week of my life and I’ve found my happy place. I’m proud to be T1D.” His mother said “spending a week being surrounded by campers, counselors and some staff that are just like him made him so happy and comfortable being him… and no longer wanting to change to be normal.”

Camp Seale Harris gives children with diabetes a community of children in their area that are just like them! Many campers are the only child in their grade or school with diabetes. Giving children the opportunity to meet kids their age that may live a few minutes down the road helps relieve some of the isolation that diabetes can cause.
