2023 Family Camps—Ages 0-18 plus family

● Spring Family Weekend – (April 21-23)  $425
Spring Family Camp is held at Camp Grace in Mobile, AL and promises fun for the whole family. Parents gain valuable quality time with medical professionals while children enjoy separate, supervised activities such as boating, zip lining, and crafts. Campers enjoy family group fun and networking with families and volunteers who live with diabetes. Each family has their own lodge/cabin with adequate heating and cooling. Meals and snacks are provided at all Family Camps. The family is responsible for insulin and all other medical supplies while at camp.

● Summer Family Weekend – (May 12-14) $425
Summer Family Camp is held at Camp ASCCA on Lake Martin and promises fun for the whole family. Parents gain valuable quality time with medical professionals while children enjoy separate, supervised activities such as boating, zip lining, and crafts. Campers enjoy family group fun and networking with families and volunteers who live with diabetes. Each family has their own lodge/cabin with adequate heating and cooling. Meals and snacks are provided at all Family Camps. The family is responsible for insulin and all other medical supplies while at camp.

● Fall Family Weekend – (October 20-22) $425
Fall Family Camp is held at Camp ASCCA on Lake Martin and promises fun for the whole family. Parents gain valuable quality time with medical professionals while children enjoy separate, supervised activities such as boating, zip lining, and crafts. Campers enjoy family group fun and networking with families and volunteers who live with diabetes. Each family has their own lodge/cabin with adequate heating and cooling. Meals and snacks are provided at all Family Camps. The family is responsible for insulin and all other medical supplies while at camp.

2023 Overnight Camps*—Ages 6-18 *Children with diabetes only.

● Teen Leadership Forum, Grades 9-12 – $250 (February 17-20)
The Teen Leadership Forum takes place at Camp Cosby in Alpine, AL and is designed for teenagers who are currently in 9th through 12th grade. Campers will stay in cabins with adequate heating/cooling and participate in activities such as canoeing, archery, sports/games, and more. The camp will include intentional opportunities for participants to develop teamwork, independence, self‐confidence, leadership skills, and make life‐long friends. It’s where teens grow, connect, and are inspired to live well. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies.

● Senior Camp, ages 12-18 – $800 (June 4-9)
Senior Week at Camp Seale Harris is a week-long overnight camp located at Camp ASCCA on Lake Martin. Campers will stay in airconditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors. T1D children and teens will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Senior camp is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more.  Activities at Senior Camp include swimming, tubing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, zip line, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever!

● Junior Camp, ages 6-11 – $800 (June 11-16)
Junior Week at Camp Seale Harris is a week-long overnight camp located at Camp ASCCA on Lake Martin. Campers will stay in airconditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors. T1D children and teens will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Junior camp is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more.  Activities at Junior Camp include swimming, tubing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, zip line, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever!

● Coastal, ages 10-18 – $500 (July 23-28)
Coastal Camp Seale Harris is a week-long overnight camp located at Camp Grace in Mobile, AL. Campers will stay in airconditioned cabins with other T1D campers their age. Cabin sizes range from 6-8 campers with 2 counselors. T1D children and teens will learn to become more independent and confident in their diabetes care. Coastal Camp Seale Harris is supervised by a full medical staff who assist your T1D in medication doses, insulin pumps and injections, midnight blood sugar checks, and more. Activities at Coastal Camp include canoeing, waterslides, crafts, fishing, ropes course, and sports/games. All meals, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump and CGM supplies. Campers learn to live well with diabetes and make friendships that will last forever! Bus transport from Pensacola may be available for this session. 2023 Day Camps—Ages 5-15

● Dothan (June 19-23) – $175
Dothan Day Camp is held at Eastgate Park. This one-week day only camp provides fun for with new T1D friends. Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies.  One sibling or friend may also register for this program.

● Huntsville (June 26-30)- $175
Huntsville Day Camp is held at The Vision. This one-week day only camp provides fun with new T1D friends. Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies.  One sibling or friend may also register for this program.

● Tuscaloosa (July 3-7)- $175
Tuscaloosa Day Camp is held at Camp Tuscoba. This one-week day only camp provides fun with new T1D friends. Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies.  One sibling or friend may also register for this program.

● Birmingham (July 10-14)- $175
Birmingham Day Camp is held at the Kanawahala Program Center-KPC. This one-week day only camp provides fun with new T1D friends. Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies. One sibling or friend may also register for this program.   • Overnight Option: New in 2023 – overnight option on Wednesday and Thursday nights in addition to day camp all week! $250
    • For campers that chose to bring a non-T1D sibling or friend, the sibling/friend will also have the option to stay overnight with the T1D camper. Additional Information for Overnight Option

● Mobile (July 24-28)- $175
Mobile Day Camp is held at Camp Grace. This one-week day only camp provides fun with new T1D friends. Campers learn how to be independent in a medically-supervised, interactive, camp setting. Lunch, snacks, and most diabetes supplies (including insulin) are provided with the exception of pump supplies and CGM supplies. One sibling or friend may also register for this program. 2023 CSH1Days—All Ages

● Huntsville T1D Family Party (January 28)- Free
The Huntsville T1D Family Party is held at Stars & Strikes Bowling Alley from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm. This free event promises fun for all ages. Siblings & family members are invited & encouraged to attend. Lunch, bowling, and arcade games are all provided, along with an educational Q&A session from special guests from Huntsville Pediatric Endocrinology.

● Birmingham T1D Family Party (February 5)- Free
The Birmingham T1D Family Party is held at the McWane Science Center from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. This free event promises fun for all ages. Siblings & family members are invited & encouraged to attend. Adventure Hall Wristbands and parking will be included and food and drink will be provided. There will also be an educational Q&A session.

● Dothan T1D Family Party (February 11)- Free
This is a free Family Event that will also serve as our Kick-Off Event for our Dothan Diabetes WALK.  The event will begin at 2:00pm and end at 4:00pm. It will be located at Axtion Air Trampoline Park.

● Mobile T1D Family Party (February 25)- Free
The Mobile T1D Family Party is held at the Exploreum Science Center from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. This free event promises fun for all ages. Siblings & family members are invited & encouraged to attend.

● Panama City Dave & Busters T1D Family Party (February 25)- Free
Join Camp Seale Harris and your T1D friends at Dave and Buster’s in Panama City on Sunday, May 28th from 2-4pm.  This free event will include diabetes education, information about Camp Seale Harris programs & events, and of course games for all ages!  This event is for children with diabetes and their families.  The address of Dave and Buster’s is 15701 L C Hilton Jr Drive, Panama City Beach, FL  32413.

2023 Diabetes WALKs—All Ages

● Dothan Diabetes WALK (March 11)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at Westgate Park.

● Montgomery Diabetes WALK (March 12)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at the Montgomery Zoo.

● Pensacola Diabetes WALK (March 25)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at Bayview Park.

● Mobile Diabetes WALK (March 26)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.

● Birmingham Diabetes WALK (April 1)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at Veterans Park.

● Huntsville Diabetes WALK (April 2)- Free
Join us for a free event with music, food, and fun for the whole family! When your team walks in honor of your favorite camper, all donations raised support your camp fees and “Living with Diabetes Scholarship.” Walk live, or online, and support camp. The WALK will be located at the US Space and Rocket Center.
